Tanker trailers are actual tanks that have been reinforced with metal and mounted to a trailer. Their unique design makes it safer to transport various gasses or liquids.

Tanker trucks are utilized across many different industries including: oil, gas, dairy, water, construction, chemical, industrial, military, and more. Some common products hauled by tanker trucks include: milk, water, concrete, gasoline, diesel fuel, chemicals, and much more.

Some tanker drivers are responsible for filling up tanks with gasoline or diesel fuel at your local gas station or truck stop. Others may be responsible for delivering large shipments of food products or water at distribution plants. With a job as a tanker driver, you can expect a significant amount of responsibility beyond the drive. Sanitation and safety are very important with tanker driving and delivery procedures often need to be documented and followed with absolute precision.
